President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday attended the swearing-in ceremony of Ghana’s new President, John Mahama, in Accra, where he met with former Nigerian Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.

The Nigerian leaders were captured exchanging warm handshakes during the ceremony.

Tinubu, in his remarks at the ceremony on Tuesday assured Mahama of Nigeria’s unwavering support in fostering national development and strengthening bilateral relations between the two West African nations.

Mahama’s win marks the end of two terms in power for the governing New Patriotic Party under outgoing President Nana Akufo-Addo.

His main opponent, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat after the December 8 polls.

Speaking at the ceremony, Tinubu emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two countries.
