A young girl has been lid to rest, after being allegedly raped and killed by her neighbor.
According to reports, the minor, identified as Boitumelo Ranyamatsane, an 11-year-old girl was assaulted by her 50-year-old neighbour, Dingani Mbhele.
According to an advocacy group, the incident which happened in Free State, South Africa created tension in the area, after the little girl was found lifeless on the railway tracks.

Confirming the incident on Tuesday, a journalist alleged that he had deceived the girl, under the guise asking her to buy him cigarettes.
“It is alleged that Boitumelo was raped and murdered by her neighbour, 50, who was arrested after her body was discovered,” the group said in a statement read.
“The neighbour allegedly strangled and brutally killed Boitumelo, as she was found with an open wound on her neck.
“We are heartbroken over the loss of such a beautiful soul, and our thoughts are with her family. Fly high, little sister.”
The suspect was subsequently arrested and paraded before the Bethlehem Magistrate court on Thursday, 02 January 2025, with count of Murder, amongst others.
