  • Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has responded to rumours of the APC plotting to rig the 2027 elections.

  •  The governor expressed his focus on delivering the benefits of democracy during his first term, rather than worrying about reelection.

  • Yusuf also warned the APC leadership in Kano against using hate speech and provocative words.

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has boldly responded to rumours that the APC is plotting to rig the 2027 elections.

Speaking at Coronation Hall’s monthly women’s empowerment program, the governor vowed to withstand any assault on his authority.

Governor Yusuf expressed his focus on delivering the benefits of democracy during his first term, rather than worrying about reelection.

“Reelection is not the issue I am concerned about. Delivering the benefits of democracy on the mandate I was given during my first term is what I am more focused on,” he declared.

The governor also emphasized his desire to be evaluated by the people of Kano based on his performance at the conclusion of his term.

He warned the APC leadership in Kano against using hate speech and provocative words that could frighten people eager to exercise their civic rights.

He also expressed his trust in Allah’s decision regarding his potential second term, stating, “My destiny is to become a governor. I firmly believe that I shall serve a second term if Allah so desires, and I submit to His decision. I won’t if not. Therefore, why should I trouble myself?”

Gov Abba Yusuf Reshuffles Kano Cabinet, Sacks Key Officials

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced a major reshuffle within his cabinet.

In a statement released today by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, Governor Yusuf disclosed that the restructuring was a necessary step to ensure optimal performance and achieve the administration’s developmental goals.
