  • Rotimi Amaechi has warned Nigerians that politicians will stop at nothing to win elections.

  •  Amaechi stated that power must be fought for.

  • He attributed the APC 2015 presidential election victory to the party’s determination and preparedness to defend its mandate.

Former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi has cautioned Nigerians that politicians will resort to extreme measures to win elections, stressing the need for political vigilance.

Amaechi made this statement in Abuja at a national conference on strengthening democracy in Nigeria, organized by the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development.

He emphasized that power must be fought for, urging citizens to safeguard their votes if they desire credible leadership.

“None of you here seated can defend the votes. If you have complained, complain, Nigerians have been clapping for you,” he said.

Amaechi cited examples from Nigeria and Ghana, where citizens have taken extreme measures to ensure electoral transparency.
