Nigeria Vows Assertive Response to Canada’s Visa Denial to Defence Chief

  • Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has vowed to respond assertively to Canada’s denial of visas to the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Musa.

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has condemned Canada’s denial of visas to the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Musa, and other top military officers.

Matawalle described the visa denial as “an affront to our national dignity and integrity.”

“We cannot allow our country to be disrespected in this way on the global stage,” Matawalle said.

He called for an immediate and thorough investigation into the reasons for the visa denial, asserting that Nigeria must respond firmly to protect its standing in international affairs.

“If we do not receive a satisfactory explanation, we must be prepared to take appropriate and assertive action,” Matawalle declared.

Former Finance Minister Declared Wanted For Corruption

Ghana’s former finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, has been declared a wanted fugitive and accused of corruption by the country’s special prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng.

“You have two choices: either return to the jurisdiction voluntarily or the OSP will enforce your return,” Agyebeng said.
