  • Former Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Obasa has not attended any Assembly sittings since his removal on January 13, 2025.

  • Obasa insists he remains the Speaker, claiming his removal was unconstitutional and that due process was not followed.

  • His continued absence raises questions about his next move and potentially puts his legislative seat at risk.

One month after his controversial removal as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa has yet to attend any sittings in the House.

Upon his return from the United States on January 25, 2025, Obasa vehemently denied the corruption allegations, challenging his colleagues to substantiate their claims.
