Reports have emerged of Itsekiris picking a new Olu of to succeed the late Ogiame Ikenwoli Godfrey Emiko.
Recall that the late Emiko died in December last year from COVID-19 related complications.
According to foremost investigative outlet, SaharaReporters, chosen successor to throne is a 37-year-old son of the late Ogiame.

The source has quoted by Sahara Reporters said: “A formal announcement will be made in two days after completion of palace rituals.”
Emiko who was the 20th Olu of Itsekiri, died a week after his fifth coronation anniversary in December 2020.
He was among contacts of the late Major General John Irefin, who also died from COVID-19 complications in Abuja, on December 10, 2020.
The late monarch was born on March 19, 1955 to Olu Erejuwa II who reigned between 1951 and 1986.
He succeeded his younger brother, Ogiame Atuwatse II, on December 12, 2015 at an elaborate ceremony at Ode-Itsekiri, the ancestral home of the Itsekiri.
