Following complains and press releases, the age limit placed on university admission has been lifted.
This comes after a court ruling in Delta State High Court on the 27th of March, 2024.

Daily Report Nigeria recalls that a 16-year-old minimum age limit was placed on admissions into universities by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
While tagging it unconstitutional, the presiding judge, Hon. Justice Anthony O. Akpovi, while delivering judgement on Thursday, 27, ruled in favor of the complaint, John Aikpokpo-Martins.

John filled the case in the interest of the public, while stating that the age restriction is unconstitutional, and it violates sections 18(1) and 42 of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria.
He also sought relief during his complaint, including:
“A declaration that restricting university admission to candidates aged 16 and above violates the constitutional mandate for equal educational opportunities and the right to freedom from discrimination.
“An order setting aside JAMB’s circular of 16 October 2024, which enforced the age limit.
“A directive compelling universities to admit all qualified candidates, regardless of age.
“An injunction restraining JAMB and universities from denying admission solely based on age.”
Following this new development, any candidate can now purchase and seat for the JAMB exam regardless of the age.
Banks Commence N100 ATM Charges Today
CBN has introduced new charges for Automated Teller Machine (ATM) transactions.
The charges, which take effect on March 1, 2025, will see customers paying N100 for transactions on ATMs of other banks.
