UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has pledged full support to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
The assurance was given during a meeting between the two leaders at No. 10 Downing Street in London on Saturday.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to Starmer and the British people for their continued support, saying it gives strength to Ukraine and its citizens.

“I want to thank the people of the United Kingdom for such big support from the very beginning of this war,” Zelensky noted.
As a crowd cheered outside his office, Starmer said, “That is the people coming out to demonstrate how much they support you, how much they support Ukraine.”
The Prime Minister added that the people of the United Kingdom stand with Zelensky and Ukraine “for as long as it may take.”

Speaking at a press conference, Zelensky stated that he could “exchange” his presidency for NATO membership, emphasizing his commitment to achieving peace.
