  • The Abia State High Court has stopped the enforcement of Senator Adolphus Wabara’s suspension as Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Board of Trustees.
  • Wabara was suspended by the Abia State chapter of the PDP, led by Abraham Amah, who accused him of anti-party activities.
  • The court, presided over by Justice L.T.C. Eruba, restrained Amah from enforcing the suspension and affecting Wabara’s position as BoT Chairman until the motion on notice is determined.

The Abia State High Court sitting at Obehie, Ukwa West LGA, has halted the enforcement of Senator Adolphus Wabara’s suspension as Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Board of Trustees.

Justice L.T.C. Eruba, who presided over the matter, restrained Abraham Amah, the Abia State PDP chairman, from enforcing the suspension and affecting Wabara’s position as BoT Chairman.

The suspension was announced by Amah, who accused Wabara of anti-party activities, citing his praises for Governor Alex Otti’s performance as one of his alleged sins.

However, the court’s ruling has temporarily halted the enforcement of the suspension, pending the determination of the motion on notice.

Wabara had sought the court’s order to restrain Amah from enforcing the purported suspension.

The court granted his prayers, ordering: “The defendant is restrained from enforcing the suspension of the claimant/applicant from the Peoples Democratic Party, or in any way affecting his position as the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the PDP till the motion on notice is determined”.

Following complains and press releases, the age limit placed on university admission has been lifted.

This comes after a court ruling in Delta State High Court on the 27th of March, 2024.
