  • A deadly clash between secondary school students and community youths has led to the death of two minors.

  • This happened following a clash between some students and community members in Niger State.

  • The clash was said to have been caused because of disagreement over a death.

A clash between people and some SS3 Students has shaken Niger State, as violence and death is recorded.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the clash was between students of Annur Islamic Model School, and some youths.

This happened near Zuma Bread Bakery in Suleja, Niger State, around Thursday, March 6.

The issue reportedly ensued over disagreement over a girl.

“After Tarawih prayers, what started as a dispute over a girlfriend turned into a serious fight around 9:30 p.m.,” a source who requested anonymity said

 

It was gathered that the student, identified as Umar Idris went with his colleagues to the area, armed to the teeth with weapons as they engaged in the violent confrontation.

In the process, Hassan and Jibrin were hit by bullets in their thighs.

 

The police force and men from the vigilante were sent to the area to restore order, and the minors were taken to the hospital for treatments

“Six suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack, while police and school officials are working closely to apprehend other students involved,”

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun said a total of 11 suspects were arrested in connection to the case in Chaichainiya, along Kaduna Road.

“On 6/3/2025 at about 11pm, reports were received that youths and some secondary students were fighting at Chaichainiya area of Kaduna road over issues of lovers by one Umar Idris of the same area,”

“It was reported that during the incident, gunshots were heard from different directions which hit two victims on their laps; one Nura and Imrana, both 10 and 11 years, respectively,”

 

Police Raid Cultists Hideout, Recover Weapons, Others

The police force in akwa Ibom have raided a suspected cultists hideout.

The cultists were said to have fled the scene after sighting the police officers.
