Boy, 19, Arrested For Raping 12-Year-Old Girl In Niger

• A 19-year-old is currently being helpful in custody for rape.

• The boy is said to have raped a 12-year-old girl in the state.

Men of the Niger State Police command have arrested a young man for raping a minor in the state.

The suspect, identified as Awal Ahmadu, 19 was reported to have committed the crime against a student in the Tafa Local Government Area.

Following credible intelligence, Ahmadu allegedly raped a JSS 3 student of Government Day Secondary School New Bwari on Friday, March 7, 2025 in a nearby bush during school hours.

While reacting to the complaint, the police swung into action, where the suspect was arrested, and the victim taken to Umar Musa Yar’Adua Memorial Hospital in Sabon-Wuse for a medical examination.
