  • Latest anti-crime update has revealed some clap backs of the security agencies against crimes.

  • Nigerian troops Neutralize over 70 bandits, while arresting over 100 suspects.

  • It was gathered that a total of 143 terrorists, including five adult males, 66 adult females, and 72 children, surrendered during the operation.

Security Operatives in Nigeria have listed all efforts made to arrest suspects, and curb crimes as a whole.

Following a recent update by the Defence Headquarters, a weekly update on the operations of the military across the country revealed that a total of 74 terrorists were killed, 130 suspects apprehended and 61 kidnapped victims were rescued.

Delivering the statement on Friday, 14th March in Abuja, the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Markus Kangye said this was achieved in different operations between March 5 and 13.

The director added that the success was achieved through the hand-in-hand operation carried out by the Armed Forces, teams from the Office of the National Security Adviser, security agencies, and hybrid forces.

He added that exhibits recovered includes 71 assorted weapons, including 32 AK-47 rifles, 15 locally fabricated guns, nine Dane guns, three pump-action guns, two locally made pistols, and 10 other assorted arms.

1,202 rounds of ammunition, comprising 1,133 assorted rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and 69 live cartridges.

 

The gallant men and women of the Armed Forces will continue to fulfil their constitutional responsibilities of protecting the lives and property of all Nigerians in line with our constitutional roles, Rules of Engagement, and Code of Conduct for Internal Security Operations,” he said.

 

Troops Neutralize Bandits Along Kaduna-Abuja Expressway, Recover Weapons

The Nigerian troops have engaged in a heated gun battle with notorious bandits along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

The troops killed 3 bandits, recovering rounds of ammunition among other things.
