Men of the Benue state police command have tackled a bandits hideout, while doing a major sweep of crime in the state.
According to report, the operation was carried Out by the Join Security Taskforce, with code name Operation Zenda.
This took place at community bordering Buruku and Ushongo local government areas of the state.
Daily Report Nigeria gathers that one of the security operatives lost one of their officers, Inspector Terfa Barnabas Anyiatse during the gun duel.

The clash occured between Tuesday night and the early hours of Wednesday, between the police, and armed herdsmen.
The bodies of the deceased, including that of the inspector has been deposited in the morgue, in Makurdi, the state capital.
