The travellers, who were traveling from Elele, Rivers state were reportedly found with locally made weapons by a vigilante group during a stop and search.
Anger grew in the mind of passerby and residents, as they charge at the travellers.
In recent updates by the Edo state PPRO, CSP Moses Yamu, 14 suspects have been arrested in connection to the massacre.
While condemning the killing, he vowed that justice would be served.

“During the stop, some travellers were found with locally made dane guns, which raised suspicion among the vigilante members,” Yamu explained.
In the course of investigations, 14 suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime. An emergency meeting was also convened with stakeholders and community members,” he added.
