The league delivered the warning at a pre-season seminar in Lafia, Nasarawa State, ending the habit of sending assistants.
NPFL officials insisted that head coaches must face the media after every game.
They said this global standard promotes accountability, transparency, and clear communication with fans and journalists.
Moreso, it cuts down speculation and misinterpretation.
The rule kicks in when the 2025/26 season starts on Friday, 22 August.
Defending champions Remo Stars will battle Rivers United in the opening match.
The NPFL made it clear that it wants higher standards on and off the pitch – the coach who picks the team must also stand before the nation to explain it.
