Life coach and social commentator, Solomon Buchi, has stirred controversy after criticizing media personality Toke Makinwa for attributing her pregnancy to God.
Makinwa recently shared that she had prayed to God to become a mother by the age of 40, celebrating her pregnancy as a fulfillment of that prayer.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Buchi congratulated Makinwa but questioned her decision to connect the announcement with divine intervention.
“I’m happy that Toke is having a child at almost 40; it seems it’s something she really desired as a woman, but I have a problem with mixing Jesus and God with it. She talked about how she had an agreement with God that she really wanted to be a mother,” he said.
Buchi went on to argue that referencing God in such a context could be misleading, as he believes parenthood should ideally occur within marriage.
“We really need to be very careful how we mix God with our personal decisions. You are having a child outside of wedlock, there is no need bringing God into that, spiritualizing it. Honestly, you can give your testimony without infusing God into it because according to God’s standard, the only right way to be a parent is in the premise of marriage,” he added.
