Veteran Actor Fabian Adibe passes on

Legendary Nollywood actor Fabian Adibe, widely celebrated for his role in the television classic Things Fall Apart, has died at the age of 80.

According to his family, the veteran passed away peacefully around 2:30 am on Wednesday. His loved ones said they are not only mourning his loss but also honoring the remarkable life he lived.

Adibe gained nationwide recognition in 1987 when he starred as Ogbuefi Uzowulu in the TV adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart. He featured alongside iconic actors such as Pete Edochie, Justus Esiri, and Sam Loco Efe, leaving an indelible mark on the Nigerian film industry.

A pioneer in the arts, Adibe had earlier led Nigeria’s delegation to its first Commonwealth Art Festival in 1965, showcasing his commitment to cultural advancement long before he rose to television fame.

His dignified personality and powerful on-screen presence made him a household name and endeared him to audiences for decades.

Burna Boy Breaks Records as African Artist Dominating Billboard Hot 100

Nigerian superstar Burna Boy has made history by becoming the African artist with the most appearances on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

His latest collaboration with American rapper Gunna, WGFT from the album The Last Wun, entered the chart at number 96, bringing Burna Boy’s total Billboard entries to seven.
