  • Theophilus Danjuma has once again advised Nigerians to stand up for themselves.

  • This advice comes after the numerous cases of insecurity in the country.

Retired former Minister of Defence, Lt. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma has once again advised Nigerians concerning the unending killings and insecurity in the country.

While delivering a statement during a public event in Taraba State, Danjuma, on Saturday, April 19, he made reference to the numerous attacks in Plateau, Benue and Borno.

 

According to him, the government cannot be fully trusted and relied in for the issue of security.

“The warning I gave some years ago is still as valid today as it was then. Nigerians must rise and defend themselves. We cannot continue to sit and watch while bandits, terrorists, and criminal 

 

Danjuma further stated that it is now time for citizens to take up the responsibility of protecting their lives and properties.

“It is now very clear that the government alone cannot protect us. We must stand up and defend ourselves, our families, and our lands before these criminals overrun the entire country,” he added

It was gathered that the people onboard jumped into the water following a fire outbreak on the boat.
