The Super Falcons star now begins a new chapter in France.
Super Falcons Captain Rasheedat Ajibade has completed a permanent move to Paris Saint-Germain, signing a two-year deal with an option for a third.
She already trains with her new teammates, and PSG will likely announce the signing soon.
Ajibade left Atlético Madrid in June after her contract expired and will reunite with fellow Nigerian Jennifer Echegini at the Parc des Princes.
She made her debut at the 2018 WAFU Cup, progressed through Nigeria’s youth system, and was rated one of Africa’s top prospects in 2017.
Rasheedat Ajibade has grown into one of Africa’s top forwards, prized for her pace, sharp movement and clinical finishing.
At Atlético Madrid she helped the club win the Copa de la Reina and the Supercopa de España.
She also starred as Nigeria lifted the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in 2018 and 2024.
Nigeria later honoured her as an Officer of the Order of the Niger, and she collected WAFCON awards, including top scorer and Player of the Tournament.
The move starts a new chapter. She must adapt quickly to French football and compete for minutes in a star-studded PSG squad, but her experience in Spain and with the national team should help her hit the ground running.
