Congratulations are pouring in for popular media personality and TV host, Toke Makinwa, who has officially become a mother for the first time.
Barely two weeks after she revealed her pregnancy to fans in an August 13 Instagram post, the 40-year-old announced the birth of her baby girl in an emotional update shared on Thursday.

For Makinwa, the journey into motherhood marks one of the most fulfilling moments of her life. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to God, acknowledging her daughter’s birth as an answered prayer.
“My hearts overflows with so much gratitude. Every single detail, down to your fingers and toes, he heard my prayers,” she wrote.
In the same post, the excited new mom declared: “I’m a Mommy. This is the happiest I’ve ever been. My precious daughter, the love I never knew existed, my heart in another human being, my love. I have seen the goodness of God in my life time. I have seen God move and I no longer just hear of it, I see it. It ended in praise, My miracle is here.”
Revealing her baby’s names, Makinwa described the child as the embodiment of her faith and testimony of God’s faithfulness.
“Yakira Eliana, Olakitan, Iyanuoluwa, Ikeoluwa, Adunola. My purpose, my reason, my evidence. Thank you for choosing me, thank you for making me a mother. My hearts overflows with so much gratitude. God heard, God answered. Every single detail, down to your fingers and toes, oh he heard my prayers. Meet my miracle, Yakira Eliana — Precious, Beloved — of great worth, my God has answered.”
LASWA Recovers Second Victim From Third Mainland Bridge Accident
The Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) has confirmed the recovery of a second body from the August 23 accident in which a vehicle plunged off the Third Mainland Bridge into the lagoon.
LASWA General Manager, Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, disclosed in a statement on Wednesday that the body had been handed over to the family of the deceased.
