Former Super Eagles’ star Anthony Ujah retires from professional football, announcing his decision on Friday.

The former Werder Bremen forward ended his career after an injury-hit spell at Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv. Injuries kept the 34-year-old forward to five appearances and two goals.
Ujah made his name in Germany, where he spent most of his club career and earned a reputation as a hard-working, busy striker.
He won seven caps for Nigeria and scored once for the Super Eagles.
He confirmed the decision on social media:
“Today, I make the toughest decision of my life, retiring from professional football.”
