Gospel Singer Osinachi’s Husband Found Guilty of Culpable Homicide in Landmark Ruling

• Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late gospel singer Osinachi, has been found guilty of culpable homicide resulting in her death on April 8, 2022.

• The Federal Government arraigned him on a 23-count charge bordering on culpable homicide, criminal intimidation, cruelty to children, and spousal battery.

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has found Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late gospel singer Osinachi, guilty of culpable homicide resulting in her death.

Justice Njideka Nwosu-Iheme delivered the judgment in the trial brought before the court by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (OAGF).

Peter Nwachukwu was arraigned on a 23-count charge bordering on culpable homicide punishable with death, criminal intimidation, cruelty to children, criminal intimidation of children, and spousal battery.

The court will shortly deliver its verdict in the case, determining his punishment.

Osinachi Nwachukwu, a celebrated Nigerian gospel singer, died on April 8, 2022, at the age of 42.

Her cause of death was initially reported as cancer, but allegations emerged that her husband had been physically abusive to her for a long time.
