- Charles Idibia accused 2Baba’s partner, Natasha, of manipulating, isolating, and controlling the singer’s personal and professional life.
- He claimed Natasha accessed 2Baba’s phone, deleted messages, impersonated him online, and forced him to publicly retract his podcast comments.
- Charles urged his brother to take time off social media, step away from his current environment, and focus on healing for the sake of his children and legacy.
Charles Idibia, the younger brother of music legend 2Baba, has publicly appealed to the singer to reclaim his life, accusing his partner, Natasha, of manipulation, emotional control, and sabotage.
His statement comes days after 2Baba’s controversial remarks on Nedu Wazobia’s podcast, where he said men aren’t naturally wired to remain sexually loyal to one woman. The comment sparked backlash, prompting the 49-year-old singer to issue a public apology.

In a video posted to Instagram, 2Baba said,
“I know I have fucked up with what I have said. I really, really fucked up the way I said it. I’m going to pay with a heavy price. I’m going to face the consequences… I’m sorry to my wife Natasha. Calling me a legend is an honor, but this my talk is quite unlegendly.”
In a lengthy post shared on July 2, 2025, Charles reacted to the apology, claiming his brother was no longer in control of his own life.
“You have been captured, captured from inside the frying pan to an industrial furnace… so my heart bleeds,” Charles wrote, adding that Natasha had gradually isolated the singer and now controls his personal and professional life.
He alleged that Natasha had access to 2Baba’s phones and accounts, manipulated his communications, and took over his business decisions.
“A girlfriend who breaks into your phone to announce your divorce because she had doubts about you going through with it… Who posts and deletes a picture of herself on your socials and asks Nigerians to help you beg her to marry her while you sleep… who clones your WhatsApp and deletes messages she doesn’t like, replies pretending to be you… is not a girlfriend,” Charles stated.
He further wrote,
“A girlfriend who makes you eat your words from a podcast just because you didn’t mention her name… is a psychotic fan, a cancerous leech… You are in one of those ‘Love, Passion & Murder’ episodes you enjoy watching, and the victim is going to be you.”
Charles said his brother is no longer acting like himself, urging him to take a step back for the sake of his children and his mental health.
“Take a couple of months off ALONE, get completely off social media and let the music and businesses wait… In the names of your 7 lovely kids… This is that time, before it gets too late… a time to become the real you again… this isn’t you,” he pleaded.
The post has stirred reactions online, with many expressing concern over 2Baba’s personal struggles and the intense family dynamics now unfolding in public.

President Bola Tinubu has pledged scholarships to students from St Lucia and other member countries of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), offering them opportunities to study in Nigerian universities—despite the country grappling with a staggering number of out-of-school children and deepening economic hardship.
During his visit to St Lucia, Tinubu disclosed that the scholarship initiative would begin in the next academic session. A statement released on Monday further revealed that discussions are also underway to introduce visa waivers for holders of diplomatic and official passports from OECS nations.
