A standout moment of the season for James was playing alongside his son, Bronny James, marking the first father-son duo to appear in an NBA regular-season game.
> “Number one, for sure,” James said. “That’s not even close. To be able to play the game that I love and to be able to be alongside my son, this whole year has been one of the most gratifying, satisfying journeys I’ve ever been on.”
Bronny spent much of the season in the G League but made brief appearances with the Lakers, showcasing growth and potential that made his father proud.
Commending Rookie Coach JJ Redick
James also expressed admiration for first-year head coach JJ Redick, acknowledging the challenges of leading a high-profile team like the Lakers.
> “I thought he handled it extremely well,” James said.
Looking Ahead: Uncertain Future for James and the Lakers
As the offseason begins, James holds a $52.6 million player option for the 2025–26 season.
He remains undecided about exercising the option or retiring.
