FLASH: Gunmen Chop Off Victims’ Hands In Kogi

• A group of gunmen have chopped off the hands of their victims’ in Kogi state.

• According to reports the armed men were said to have stopped their vehicle, and whisked the victims to the bush.

• This comes as a shock to residents, as the armed men didn’t demand ransom, but committed the act and released the victims.

A gang of gunmen have moved differently from normal, after abducting and assaulting victims in Kogi state.

According to reports, the  kidnappers chopped off the hands of their victims’ without demanding ransom.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the victims were abducted on Saturday, April 26, 2025 in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Reports from Daily Trust revealed that a victims, Lanlege Adewale, alongside four others had their hands chopped off.

It was gathered that the gunmen had flagged their car down, and abducted two men, and three women, including Adewale.

Confirming the incident, a victim, Olaoye Adeola said!

“The armed men, wearing military uniforms and wielding AK-47 rifles, seized five of them. Three of them were women. They took them to a bush that links Kogi with Ekiti and Kwara states,”

Another victim, Babajide said;

Another victim, a driver who had his hands chopped off in the same circumstance a few weeks ago by the hoodlums, is still receiving treatment in the hospital at Egbe

‘’The residents of Yagba communities are now living in fear because of the dangerous dimension introduced by these hoodlums,” 

Two other persons, a driver and a yet-to-be-identified victim, are reportedly lying critically ill in a hospital in Egbe.

The woman, while sharing the video online could be seen in tears, as she shows her car submerged under a flood.
