Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has declared that the leadership crisis rocking the Labour Party is over, dismissing claims by embattled National Chairman, Julius Abure, that there is no vacuum in the party leadership.
Otti’s assertion comes days after the Supreme Court set aside the judgment of the Court of Appeal in Abuja, which had recognized Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour Party.
The apex court held that the Court of Appeal lacked the jurisdiction to pronounce Abure as the National Chairman of the LP.

The Governor made this known while speaking in an interview with Arise Television’s Rufai Oseni.
According to Otti, the Labour Party has been retrieved from Abure’s leadership.
Otti was quoted as saying, “Today we have fought and retrieved the Labour Party. I will send you the supreme Court judgment, and when you finish reading it you will know that Abure is just masturbating.” This statement underscores the Governor’s confidence in the party’s current state and his dismissal of Abure’s claims.
