The Kano State Police Command (Kano Police) has arrested three men accused of involvement in an armed robbery in Abuja, resulting in the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

The suspects — 20-year-old Ismail Imran, 31-year-old Abdulaziz Yahaya, and 29-year-old Musa Ibrahim Isah — were apprehended in Kano on September 6, 2025, following a joint operation with local vigilantes. All three are residents of Rigasa Quarters, Kaduna State.

During the operation, officers of Kano Police recovered a blue 2014 Toyota Corolla S with registration number KWL-78 DN, which had a broken windscreen. Investigations revealed that the vehicle was stolen during a robbery in Durumi, Abuja, around 2:00 a.m. on September 5.
The victim reported that his family was assaulted during the attack, leaving one member critically injured before the suspects fled with the car.
Kano Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, commended his team for their prompt response and highlighted the significance of community policing in achieving the arrest.
“The suspects are currently helping investigation to unravel the full extent of their criminal activities,” Bakori stated.
He added that the command remains committed to protecting lives and property, urging residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
“We assure the public of our commitment to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property across the state,” he emphasized, reinforcing Kano Police’s dedication to community safety.
