The G4, a coalition of progressive stakeholders from the South South region, has extended warm congratulations to Julius Pondi on his appointment as Chairman of the House Committee on the South South Development Commission.
In a statement on Tuesday by quartet of Comrade Christian Talbort, Ken Oyakemeagbegha, Clement Bebefegha and Okilo Emiemene, the group praised Pondi’s dedication to public service and expressed confidence in his capacity to deliver on the mandate of the newly established committee.
“The G4 extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi on his well-deserved appointment as Chairman of the House Committee on the South South Development Commission,” the statement read.
“This appointment is a testament to your unwavering dedication, visionary leadership, and deep commitment to the development of the South South region and Nigeria as a whole.”

The group noted that the South South region stands to benefit significantly from Pondi’s leadership, given his track record of impactful legislative service and community engagement.

Your wealth of experience and proven track record inspire great optimism for impactful progress,” the statement continued.
The G4 concluded by wishing the new chairman success in his assignment, stating that his leadership comes at a critical time when strategic attention to the region’s development is both necessary and overdue.
Recall that Pondi represents Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and has been a vocal advocate for regional development and equity.
His appointment marks a significant milestone for the newly formed South South Development Commission and is expected to set the tone for its future direction.
