During the arrest, officers recovered tools believed to have been used in the crime, including two sledgehammers, a pair of scissors, and two metal cutting saws.

Police authorities revealed that other accomplices managed to flee the scene, but efforts are underway to track them down.

Following an initial investigation, the two suspects were charged to court for conspiracy, theft, and deliberate damage to public infrastructure. The seized tools have been officially recorded and presented as evidence in court.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, denounced the incident, stating that acts of vandalism undermine public safety and damage essential infrastructure. He reiterated the command’s dedication to protecting lives and public property throughout the state.
