After outmaneuvering Saul “Canelo” Alvarez in the ring, Terence Crawford effortlessly conquered the undisputed super middleweight world title, while also advancing his impressive record to 42-0.

Crawford, who also earned 31 knockouts, closed the event in front of 70,482 spectators in the Allegiant Stadium with a unanimous decision.

During the fight, Crawford did his best to keep Alvarez disoriented by calculating his punches, moving-while jab to avoid Alvarez closing in on him.

Crawford made history by changing weight classes and in the last fight, he was more active and conquered the rounds with masterfully targeted punches.

He earned the judges’ cards, 116-112, 115-113, 115-113.

After the fight, Crawford had only nice words for his opponent saying:

 “Canelo is a great champion. I’ve got nothing but respect for him, he fought like a champion.”

The composed Alvarez, who is a champion of 4 different divisions, suffered a defeat for the record of 63-3-2.

“A defeat does not define me. Crawford is a great fighter, and you have to give him credit. But I feel the same… I feel good sharing the ring with great fighters like him. If we do it again, it will be great.” – Alvarez said.

When the final bell rang, Terence Crawford threw his hands up and dropped to his knees, soaking it all in.
