Atalanta have made it clear that Ademola Lookman must show genuine commitment before he can be fully welcomed back into the team.

The 28-year-old winger pushed for a move to Inter Milan over the summer and even submitted a transfer request.
When that switch collapsed, Lookman trained separately in England and only returned to Bergamo after Inter pulled out of the deal.
Consequently, head coach Ivan Juric left him out of the squad that beat Lecce at home on Sunday, and indicated he is unlikely to be involved against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek.
Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi stressed the club’s position in clear and unambiguous terms.
“We know how important Lookman is for Atalanta, but the club has some very basic principles, which need players who are ready to give 100 per cent for this jersey and totally concentrate on our cause, because every game is difficult,” – Percassi told DAZN.
In short, the door is not shut but it will open only if Lookman demonstrates a renewed desire to play and focuses fully on the team’s cause.
