Rauf Aregbesola, former governor of Osun State, has clarified the ideological stance of the African Democratic CongrDemocrati.
He asserted that the party does not answer to any godfather and all members are equal stakeholders.

Speaking at a meeting in Badagry, Lagos State, Aregbesola underscored that the ADC is a people-centered party focused on running a mass-based, People-Friendly Government (PFG).
He highlighted key constitutional provisions designed to promote inclusivity and prevent dominance by elites, including prohibitions against godfatherism, guarantees of at least 35% representation for women and youth in elective and appointive offices, and safeguards against individual control of the party.

Aregbesola invited Nigerians to join the ADC, describing it as a better alternative to the current government, and emphasised that the party aims to secure a brighter future for Nigeria’s next generations.
