The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to the results, out of the 1,955,069 candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME, more than 1.5 million scored below 200. Only 420,415 candidates achieved scores higher than 200 in this year’s examination.
The data revealed that 75% of candidates scored below 200, with fewer than 1% securing scores above 300.

JAMB’s accompanying statement also highlighted that 40,247 underage candidates were allowed to demonstrate their exceptional abilities.

However, just 467 of these candidates (1.16%) achieved scores that meet the criteria for exceptional ability, with their performance in the subsequent three stages still to be assessed.
To check their UTME results for 2025, candidates can follow these steps:
Via the Website:
1. Visit the JAMB eFacility Portal: Navigate to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login using a web browser.
2. Enter Login Details: Provide the email address and password used during registration.
3. Access Results: After logging in, click the “Check UTME Results” button to view the scores for each subject.
Via SMS:
1. Open Messaging App: Launch the text message app on your mobile device.
2. Compose a Message: Type “RESULT” (in capital letters) followed by your JAMB Registration Number.
3. Send the SMS: Send the message to either 55019 or 66019, the official JAMB result SMS numbers.
4. Receive Results: An SMS containing the UTME scores for each subject will be sent to you.

JAMB To Release 2025 UTME Results Friday
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will release the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Friday, May 9.
In an official notice made available in Abuja, the examination body confirmed that the announcement will take place at its national headquarters in Bwari at 8 a.m. on the scheduled date.
