Ikenga noted that the suspect later led the police team to the concealed farm where large quantities of weeds, suspected to be cannabis sativa, were recovered.

He added that the Commissioner of Police directed that the suspect be transferred to the Special Anti-Cultism Squad, Enugwu-Ukwu, for further investigation aimed at identifying his buyers and dismantling the wider distribution network.

The police spokesperson further noted that in recent operations, the command apprehended at least 54 suspects — 39 men and 15 women — over offences ranging from kidnapping and cultism to drug trafficking and possession of prohibited substances.

Ikenga stated that the arrests came after coordinated raids in Ogidi, Idemili North LGA, and Ifitedunu, Dunukofia LGA, carried out as part of intensified efforts to restore order and tackle the surge in crime among youths aged 18 to 26.
