Tinubu Grants Jobs to Children of Late FCT Head of Service

President Bola Tinubu has directed that the four children of the late Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory, Dr Grace Adayilo, be given automatic employment.

The announcement was made on Saturday by Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr Nyesom Wike, during her funeral service at the National Ecumenical Centre, Abuja.

According to Mr Wike, the President’s gesture was a recognition of the family’s loss and the late civil servant’s sacrifice.

“The President has instructed that her four children be offered automatic employment, understanding that the family has lost its breadwinner,” he declared.

Mr Wike described Adayilo’s passing as “a painful loss,” praising her as a humble, hardworking and devoted official whose legacy in the FCTA cannot be erased.

“On behalf of the FCT Administration and Mr President, I extend our deepest condolences to her family,” he said.

The minister highlighted Adayilo’s contributions, including ensuring prompt payment of salaries and benefits to FCTA workers. He also described her as a strong community mobiliser whose influence extended beyond her official role.

Mr Wike urged Nigerians to emulate her dedication and service, warning that life’s uncertainty made it vital to live for both God and humanity.

“Her exceptional service should inspire us all to work selflessly for the common good,” he added.

Colleagues, relatives and dignitaries who attended the service honoured Adayilo as a selfless leader and motherly figure. Her career was described as inspiring and her commitment to the welfare of others as exemplary.

The solemn event drew top government officials, lawmakers, traditional rulers, civil servants, family and friends who came to pay their final respects.
