President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured Nigerians that his administration remains committed to restoring peace and lawfulness nationwide, particularly in regions grappling with insecurity and violent attacks.

Speaking through the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, during the commissioning of new housing units in Kaduna State on Tuesday, Tinubu declared that “Nigeria is in safe hands” and vowed that law and order would be fully restored across the country.

The housing project, executed in collaboration with Qatar Charity Organisation, is aimed at rehabilitating communities devastated by banditry and violent extremism.

The President hailed the initiative as part of efforts to reconcile affected communities and rebuild lives.

“Recovery is ongoing, and it is clear that fresh air is blowing through Kaduna State. Things are changing,” Tinubu said, noting that displaced farmers were returning to their lands and markets like Birnin Gwari had reopened.

He commended the Kaduna State Government, security agencies, and stakeholders for adopting a mix of kinetic and non-kinetic strategies, describing the Kaduna Peace Model as a community-based and intelligence-led approach to addressing insecurity sustainably.

“We are wiping the tears of victims of extreme violence. We are reconciling communities and creating a sense of inclusion for all,” the President added.

Tinubu expressed appreciation to Qatar Charity for supporting displaced victims and emphasised that tackling terrorism remains a top priority under his national security agenda.
