Since joining Arsenal in 2019, he went through several loan spells before breaking into Mikel Arteta’s first team during the 2022/23 season.
As a result, Saliba has formed a dependable partnership at the heart of Arsenal’s defence and has made more than a hundred appearances for the club.
The move ends any lingering speculation about interest from top European sides and gives Arsenal greater squad stability.
Because the contract runs to 2030, the club avoids the bargaining risk of letting a key defender enter a final contract year.
“I enjoy every day when I have the chance to wear this shirt. I try to give everything, and now I’ll give even more to this club and to the fans.” – Saliba said.
Manager Mikel Arteta added praise, saying:
“William is loved by all the players and staff, and that speaks volumes about his character, commitment and attitude every day. Since joining us, William has grown so much, embraced responsibility, and has created a strong connection with our supporters and everyone at the club.”
With Arsenal pushing again at the top of the Premier League, this William Saliba’s new deal is a clear signal of intent: the club wants to keep its core together while chasing trophies.
