The squad also welcomes back Semi Ajayi, Terem Moffi, Alhassan Yusuf, and Olakunle Olusegun, who were absent from the last round of fixtures.

Their return is expected to strengthen the Super Eagles as they prepare for these decisive games. Sevilla striker Akor Adams has been handed his first senior call up, adding another option in attack and boosting Nigeria’s chances in the World Cup qualifiers.

At the moment, Nigeria sits in third place on the qualification table with 11 points, while Benin Republic and South Africa are ahead with 14 points each. This makes the October fixtures must win encounters if the Super Eagles are to keep their hopes of reaching the 2026 World Cup alive.
