Speaking at the Funeral Service of Nana Lydia Yilwatda, mother of APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Tinubu said religion should not be used as a tool to divide Nigerians.

He shared a personal example, noting that although he is Muslim, his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is a pastor, and both have lived in harmony without trying to change each other’s faith.

“I inherited Islam from my family, I didn’t change. But my wife is a pastor and she prays for me at all times. I have never convinced or converted her; I believe in freedom of religion,” Tinubu said.
