Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has strongly refuted rumours suggesting he plans to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the governor described the reports as false, misleading, and devoid of any factual basis, insisting that he remains fully committed to the PDP and has no need for any alliance to secure victory.

“The Governor is not in any form of alliance with the ADC or any other political group,” the statement read.

According to the statement, Adeleke enjoys widespread support from Osun residents due to his performance in office and has every confidence in winning re-election under the PDP banner.

The release also highlighted that the PDP in Osun State has officially aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, showcasing internal unity and shared national objectives.

It added that Governor Adeleke remains focused on delivering more dividends of democracy and consolidating the gains of his administration.
