Renowned Nigerian rapper and YBNL Nation founder, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, widely known as Olamide, has been honored by Billboard as one of its Global Power Players for 2025.
The recognition highlights Olamide’s influential leadership at YBNL Nation, the record label behind breakout stars Asake and Fireboy DML, both of whom delivered critically acclaimed albums in 2024.
Asake’s third studio effort, Lungu Boy, was declared the biggest album of the year by TurnTable Charts, while Fireboy’s fourth project, Adedamola, has been celebrated as one of 2024’s top releases.

Adding to the label’s success, Asake’s hit single “MMS” from Lungu Boy earned a nomination for Best African Music Performance at the 67th Grammy Awards.
Olamide’s recognition by Billboard underscores his ongoing influence in shaping Nigeria’s global music presence and developing next-generation Afrobeat talents.
