The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and urged candidates to check their results via its dedicated online portal.

In an official release by the Council on Monday, WAEC directed candidates to visit the result-checking portal www.waecdirect.org and follow a simple verification process requiring their unique examination and e-PIN details.

The statement outlined a step-by-step guide to help all candidates—both recent and those from previous years—access their results with ease.

How to Check Your 2025 WASSCE Result

WAEC listed the following procedure:

1. Visit the official WAEC result portal: http://www.waecdirect.org

2. Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number

(This consists of your 7-digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number, e.g., 4123456789)

3. If you wrote the examination before 1999, enter your 8-digit WAEC Examination Number

(This includes your 5-digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number, e.g., 19865001)

4. Input the Examination Year – e.g., 2025

5. Select the Type of Examination – typically “May/June” or “Nov/Dec”

6. Enter your e-PIN Voucher Number

7. Input your Personal Identification Number (PIN) found on the e-PIN

8. Click “Submit” and wait for your results to load on the screen

Candidates are encouraged to ensure all information entered is accurate to avoid errors or invalid access.

For Candidates’ Awareness

WAEC also advised candidates to obtain their e-PIN from authorised dealers or digital vendors and warned against falling victim to scammers offering “miracle result” services.

The Council stressed that candidates who experience difficulty accessing their results should reach out to WAEC support services or visit any zonal WAEC office for in-person assistance.

As of press time, the result-checking portal was live and accessible, with thousands of candidates nationwide already confirming their results.
