He credited strategic alignment with the presidency for Akwa Ibom’s fiscal gains and called on Nigerians to support Tinubu’s economic reforms, which he said are beginning to yield results.
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has commended President Bola Tinubu for significantly increasing federal allocations to states, revealing that his administration has executed multiple projects without borrowing—thanks to improved funding from the federal government.
Speaking during his investiture as Patron of the Akwa Ibom chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in Uyo, Governor Eno credited the state’s financial gains to “strategic alignment with the centre,” adding, “This has paid off with more cash allocated to the state for projects and human capital development.”

“I urge members of the NIPR to help project Nigeria positively. The current reforms will yield fruits soon. We must be patient and support the President in his efforts to transform the nation,” the governor appealed.
Governor Eno also outlined his tourism-focused agenda, including the ongoing reconstruction of a 5,000-seater International Conference Centre and a 200-room hotel.
Re-elected NIPR President, Dr. Ike Neliaku, lauded Eno for upholding the institute’s professional code and promoting national reputation-building.
