Osimhen doubled the lead in the 37th minute, leaping above his marker to head in another assist from Chukwueze. The Napoli striker completed his hat-trick just six minutes after the break, heading in a curling free-kick from Simon that bounced off the bar before crossing the line, marking his fifth goal of the qualification campaign.
Benin’s only notable attempt came from Aiyegun Houtondji, whose tight-angled shot struck the side netting. Nigeria’s defence, marshalled by Semi Ajayi and Bright Osayi-Samuel, kept the visitors at bay.
