Popular Nigerian street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has explained why he refused to perform at the Tinubu inauguration concert held in Abuja.
Portable, who became a sensation with his hit “Zazuu Zeh,” said the concert organisers cheated him by offering him only ₦5 million instead of the ₦10 million initially agreed for his appearance.

The singer took to his Instagram page to express his frustration, sharing several videos where he spoke about the issue. In one of the clips, Portable said, “Na me sing Akoi Tinubu o. No be Obi una dey vote for? Tinubu don enter, now una go dey perform there, no be me promote Tinubu?”
He further alleged that his manager was contacted by the organisers, who promised ₦10 million, but when he learned that only ₦5 million would get to him, he rejected the offer. “Na so I no gree. I tear the paper, delete the number. You dey whine Jesus? Na hin make me no perform for Abuja o,” Portable added.

Portable insisted that he deserved full payment since he was among the early artistes who publicly supported President Bola Tinubu during the campaign season.
Meanwhile, other top musicians like Wande Coal, KCee, and others performed at the event, which was attended by Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
