The Anambra State Police Command has charged three men before the Special Court in Awka for allegedly committing offences related to unnatural acts, in violation of the Criminal Code Act.
According to the Command’s spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, the suspects: 20 year old Chizitem Nwankwo, 36 year old Uche Paul, and 40 year old Chinedu Maduekwe, were apprehended after weeks of careful investigation.

Ikenga said the arrests followed credible intelligence reports and substantial evidence gathered by detectives. The case file, he added, was later sent to the Department of Public Prosecutions, which reviewed and recommended prosecution based on the findings.
He stated, “The Anambra State Police Command has arraigned three male suspects before the Special Court, Awka, for offences bordering on unnatural acts, contrary to the provisions of the Criminal Code Act. Their arraignment followed a meticulous investigation conducted by police detectives after credible intelligence and evidence were gathered.”

The Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, while commenting on the development, assured that the Command would continue to uphold the rule of law and ensure that every case is thoroughly investigated and prosecuted.
Orutugu also urged residents of Anambra to assist security agencies with useful information that could aid crime prevention and control, stressing that the Command is determined to maintain peace and ensure justice within the confines of the law.
