Former Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi has called for opposition unity to seize power from President Bola Tinubu, citing widespread hunger and dissatisfaction.

Amaechi made the remarks at his birthday lecture in Abuja, attended by notable opposition figures including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
In a bold move, former Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi has urged opposition leaders to unite and seize power from President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking at his birthday lecture in Abuja, Amaechi said, “We are all hungry. All of us are. If you are not hungry, I am. So, for us, the opposition, if you want us to remove the man in power -Tinubu -we can remove him from this power.”
The event was attended by notable opposition figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

El-Rufai called for a coalition to oust President Tinubu from office, describing his administration as a “government of bandits.”
“Nigeria is in its biggest trouble since 1914, and that is why we are together working and conspiring to build a coalition to take Nigeria back on track because it is off track,” El-Rufai said.
