“We’ve just been arrested. Myself, Prince Emanuel and others. We are at FCT Command CID. Myself, Fine Boy and others. No 1 Zaria Street, Garki 2, Abuja,” Ejimakor wrote.
Earlier, the lawyer accused police officers of firing teargas canisters to disperse the peaceful protesters, saying the action left him with irritation in his eyes and throat.

The protesters had converged in Abuja on Monday to demand the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu, who has remained in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since June 2021.
The demonstration formed part of renewed efforts by Kanu’s supporters to pressure the Nigerian Government into complying with multiple court rulings ordering his unconditional release.
Nnamdi Kanu has faced prolonged detention despite rulings from both domestic and international courts ordering his freedom.
His legal team and supporters have consistently accused the Federal Government of violating his fundamental rights and disobeying judicial directives.
Ejimakor, who has represented Kanu in several legal proceedings, has maintained that the continued detention of his client amounts to contempt of court and a violation of Nigeria’s constitutional order.
