The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced Tuesday, October 28, 2025, as the official date for the screening of aspirants contesting for various positions in the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) ahead of its forthcoming elective national convention.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Chairman of the National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) and Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Fintiri.
According to Fintiri, the screening exercise will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. at the NCOC Secretariat Conference Hall, Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja, while the Screening Appeal session is scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025.
He further announced that Monday, October 27, has been fixed as the final deadline for the submission of completed Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to the committee’s secretariat.

Quoting directly from the statement, Fintiri said: “The screening of all aspirants for various National Offices in the 2025 PDP Elective National Convention has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
The screening is to hold at the National Convention Organising Committee Secretariat Conference Hall, Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja, at 2 p.m., while the Screening Appeal has been slated for Thursday, 30th October, 2025.”
He urged all aspirants, party stakeholders, and members to take note of the schedule and ensure compliance to ensure a smooth and credible process.
The 2025 PDP Elective National Convention is billed to hold on November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo State, as the opposition party prepares to reposition itself ahead of the next general elections.
