TikTok has announced “Wasiu Ayinde” by BhadBoi OML as the number one TikTok Nigeria Song of the Summer 2025, making it the most dominant track on the platform during the season. The song became a sensation not only for its addictive rhythm but also for its unique blend of contemporary Afrobeats and Fuji-inspired energy.

Pulled from his album Bhad Boi, the track stood out because of its refreshing mix of modern pop elements and deep Yoruba cultural influences. Users on the platform turned it into a soundtrack for everything, dance challenges, lifestyle snippets, jokes, transitions, and even storytelling videos.

TikTok’s summer chart revealed that Nigerian music continues to evolve, with younger artists boldly fusing genres and pushing boundaries. Davido, Olamide, Rybeena, and Asake also made the list with high-energy tracks, while the chart surprisingly featured emotional gospel-inspired hits and songs from other African countries like South Africa and Uganda. It was a perfect reminder that TikTok is shaping how music moves across borders.

Collaborations proved to be a winning strategy this summer. Six of the top ten songs featured multiple artists, including:

  • “99” by Olamide, Seyi Vibez, Young Jonn, Asake, and Daecolm

Amapiano sounds remained unstoppable as well. Tracks like Ngishutheni by Goon Flavour, Master KG, and Eemoh continued to fuel party content and dance challenges, showing that Nigeria’s audience still has the genre on repeat.

TikTok users also embraced softer, emotional songs. Chella’s My Darling and No Turning Back II by Gaise Baba and Lawrence Oyor found space among party anthems, proving that relatable lyrics can go just as viral as heavy beats.
